Botox
Botox, or onabotulinumtoxinA, provides temporary paralysis to muscles whose activity causes dynamic and static wrinkles. While in your system, Botox reduces or eliminates these dynamic lines and can also soften static lines over time. Botox is also used to treat a variety of other conditions including TMJ, hyperhydrosis, and more.
SmartTox
SmartTox (previously Xeomin), or incobotulinumtoxinA, provides similar action and results to Botox, but uses a solution that has been twice-filtered, removing the denatured proteins. SmartTox can therefore have a lighter feel and is less likely to cause resistance over time when compared to Botox.
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels involve the application of a chemical solution to promote the regeneration of new skin and address concerns such as fine lines, uneven skin tone caused by acne scarring, and pigmentation. Lumos provides two peel strengths, Vitalize and Rejuvenize, with Vitalize recommended for beginners. Three sessions are recommended for optimal results.

Lumos is a Menlo Park based medical aesthetics company, offering full service in-home and mobile treatments to provide care on your schedule and in the places you feel most comfortable.

Lumos was founded by Dagan McLennan, BSN RN, a Stanford and Johns Hopkins trained nurse with licensure and certification to provide injectables, chemical peels, and other complementary medical aesthetic procedures. Lumos is part of the broader Persimmon umbrella, and has medical oversight and coverage from their Medical Group and team of Medical Directors.
